A Man Storms The Pitch At A Man United Match Raising The Palestinian Flag

On November 8, at Parken Stadium, Manchester United versus Copenhagen Champions League, a man disrupted the game when he ran with a Palestinian flag for more than 30 seconds on the game’s pitch. Writings on the flag read “Stop the killing of children in Gaza”, and “Let’s Stand Together.” Although the cameras quickly cut away from the scene, videos of the man invading the pitch spread all over social media.

The fan was then removed from the field by security guards. He might be penalized and not allowed to European stadiums during games again.

Last week, the ultras group of the Scottish Celtic club Green Brigade had their season tickets collectively suspended. This came after the group’s consistent failure to adhere to club and stadium rules which specifically banned bringing in the Palestinian flag during games.
