Dubai is taking a bold step into the future of art and innovation with the launch of the Museum of Digital Art (MODA), the region’s first museum fully dedicated to digital art and emerging technologies. Officially launched by Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, the museum marks a major milestone in the emirate’s rapidly evolving cultural scene.
Located within the DIFC Zabeel District expansion project, MODA is set to become a groundbreaking space where art, technology, and creativity come together under one roof.
A Space Where Art and Technology Collide
Designed by internationally renowned architecture firm Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, the museum is envisioned as an immersive, collaborative environment for artists, researchers, and digital creatives from around the world.
The five-floor institution will feature permanent and rotating exhibitions, interactive installations, immersive experiences, educational spaces, and research initiatives designed to encourage experimentation and interdisciplinary exchange. Rather than functioning as a traditional museum, MODA aims to become a living creative hub where visitors can actively engage with the future of digital expression.

Investing in the Next Generation of Creatives
Beyond exhibitions, the museum will place strong emphasis on education and talent development. Dedicated learning spaces and specialised programmes will help nurture the next generation of digital artists, innovators, and creative thinkers.
The initiative also aligns closely with Dubai Culture’s wider mission to strengthen the cultural and creative industries while reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leading global hub for the creative economy. By combining technology, education, and culture, MODA aims to create opportunities that extend far beyond the museum walls.

DIFC’s Long-Term Cultural Vision
MODA will also serve as a central pillar within DIFC’s broader long-term arts strategy, a vision designed to shape Dubai’s cultural evolution over the next two decades. The strategy seeks to establish a more unified and ambitious direction for cultural programming across the district while creating stronger support systems for future creative talent.
With immersive technology, forward-looking education, and innovative creative spaces all in one place, MODA is ready to change how people across the region experience art. More than just a museum, it reflects Dubai’s larger vision for the future: one where culture, innovation, and creativity evolve together to shape an entirely new artistic landscape.
