Porsche is marking 70 years in the Middle East in a way that feels anything but ordinary. To celebrate the milestone, the brand has unveiled the Turbo S Sadu Edition: an exclusive take on the latest 911 Turbo S (992.2 generation). The launch has been made exclusive to Kuwait, honoring its place as the first country in the Middle East to import the iconic sports car, with only 20 units available worldwide.
Where Performance Meets Heritage
This isn’t just a special paint job or a commemorative badge. Porsche has woven cultural identity directly into the car’s design language. The Sadu Edition builds on the already formidable 911 Turbo S, blending its world-class performance with handcrafted design details inspired by Kuwaiti heritage. It’s a statement piece that connects modern engineering with something far more traditional and deeply rooted.

A Legacy That Began in Kuwait
The connection between Porsche and Kuwait goes all the way back to 1956, when Kuwaiti entrepreneur Morad Yousuf Behbehani imported the first Porsche to the Middle East: a Porsche 356 that he used as his personal car. Notably, it was the only Cabriolet sold in Kuwait at the time.
That single vehicle quietly marked the beginning of a relationship that would grow across generations and make Kuwait a key distribution hub for neighboring Gulf countries and Iraq.

From a Single Car to a Lasting Regional Bond
That first Porsche wasn’t just a private purchase; it became the starting point of a long-standing legacy. In the same year, six more 356 models were sold in Kuwait, including coupés and a final Pre-A Speedster. In 1956, the Behbehani Motors Company was formed in order to facilitate an automotive expansion and cement the brand’s presence in the region.
What began as a handful of cars has evolved into a 70-year story of shared growth between Porsche and the region, now symbolized in one of its most exclusive modern creations.

Traditional Embroidery Woven Into Its Design
The highlight of the new Sadu Edition is immediately visible the moment you open the door. The seats feature custom textile inserts inspired by Al Sadu, a traditional form of Bedouin wool weaving known for its bold, geometric horizontal patterns in rich, dark tones.
This craft has been part of life across the Arabian Peninsula for generations, and here it finds a surprising new canvas: a high-performance sports car interior.

Thoughtful Details That Go Beyond Aesthetics
The Sadu influence doesn’t stop at the seats. The same woven textile extends into the center panels of the doors, creating a cohesive interior identity that feels intentional rather than decorative.
Adding to the sense of occasion, the headrests are embossed with “70 Years” written in Arabic, marking Porsche’s seven-decade journey in the region in a subtle but meaningful way.

The Turbo S Sadu Edition feels less like a commemorative release and more like a cultural dialogue on wheels. By blending cutting-edge performance with a traditional Kuwaiti craft, Porsche isn’t just celebrating its history in the Middle East; it’s embedding that history into the fabric of the car itself.
