By now, we’ve come to expect Zendaya to treat every Spider-Man premiere like it’s its own fashion storyline. Rather than simply dressing for the occasion, she builds a narrative with every red carpet appearance, and for the Spider-Man: Brand New Day Los Angeles premiere, she may have delivered her boldest chapter yet.
After giving us glamorous web-inspired looks throughout the press tour, Zendaya took things one step further. This time, she didn’t just reference the web… she looked like the spider itself.
Zendaya Closed Out the Spider-Man Press Tour in Ashi Studio
For the Los Angeles premiere, Zendaya stepped out in a dramatic black couture creation from Saudi label Ashi Studio‘s Fall 2026 collection, A Different Skin, styled once again by her longtime collaborator Law Roach.
The gown wasn’t a literal costume, but that’s exactly what made it so impressive. A sharply sculpted satin corset created an elongated silhouette, while exaggerated sculptural details rising from the shoulders gave the illusion of stylized spider limbs or sensory feelers. Flowing behind her, the enormous pleated train added striking movement, almost resembling both a spider’s abdomen and an unfurling web depending on the angle.
Even her beauty look leaned into the concept. With slicked-back hair, sculptural tendrils framing her forehead and smoky eye makeup, the entire look felt darker, moodier and slightly eerie—in the best possible way. It was fashion that committed fully to the theme without ever feeling like cosplay.
Interestingly, A Different Skin was inspired by historic masquerade balls and the idea of transformation. Designer Mohammed Ashi described the collection around the concept of “living in a different skin,” making it an unexpectedly fitting choice for a superhero premiere centered around masks, hidden identities and alter egos.

Before the Finale, Zendaya Wore Another Ashi Studio Look for Spider-Man
This isn’t Zendaya’s first Ashi Studio moment on the Brand New Day press tour.
Earlier in the tour, she attended the Mexico City fan event wearing a look from the label’s Spring 2026 couture collection, The Beginnings. The sheer midnight-black gown featured delicate web-like embroidery, antique-treated threads, shimmering glass tassels and intricate beaded fringe that cascaded to the floor, making it the tour’s most obvious nod to Spider-Man’s iconic webbing.
Unlike the darker, more architectural Los Angeles gown, the Mexico City dress felt softer and more ethereal. Styled with voluminous ’60s-inspired hair and subtle glam, the look balanced vintage elegance with just enough superhero inspiration to stay firmly on theme.
Together, the two Ashi Studio looks almost feel like they’re telling different parts of the same story: first the web, then the spider.

Beyond Spider-Man, Zendaya Always Went Back to Ashi Studio
Zendaya’s relationship with Ashi Studio extends beyond this press tour. She also chose the Saudi couture house for the premiere of Euphoria Season 3 earlier this year, continuing her streak of turning to Mohammed Ashi’s sculptural, boundary-pushing designs for some of her biggest red carpet moments.
Considering how distinctive each appearance has been, it’s becoming clear that Ashi Studio is joining the growing list of fashion houses Zendaya and Law Roach consistently return to when they want to make a statement.

The Verdict
At this point, Zendaya’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day press tour has become just as entertaining off-screen as it will probably be on-screen. Instead of repeating the same superhero references, each appearance has explored the theme differently, from delicate web-inspired embellishments to a couture gown that subtly transformed her into the spider itself.
And honestly? If this is the level of fashion storytelling we’re getting before the movie even hits theaters, we’re already seated for whatever look comes next.
