$3.5bn Ramhan Island: Abu Dhabi’s Soon-To-Be Ultimate Staycation Spot
Sitting 20 minutes away from Abu Dhabi is an Island that promises a world of luxury amid the glistening waters of the Persian Gulf. Dubbed Ramhan Island, soon, the island will be transformed into an extravagant development that will be home to 1800 beach villas, 1000 residences, a hotel, fine dining as well as high-end shopping. It will boast villas of eight unique designs which will range from 265 meters square to 700 meters square in expanse. The entire concept will exude an air of opulence within the natural landscape of the island whether through its lavish overwater bungalows or its stunning marina overlooking clear waters.
Mohamed Alabbar, Emaar founder and Americana chairman will be spearheading the project through the Eagle Hills development company. When describing his vision for the island states, “it’s a rare thing to live on a natural island, complete with a beach – everything being truly from nature, including dolphins, turtles and birds. This is a quality of life that has never been seen before, and it is what we will be delivering” Alabbar said to Arabian Business.
Beyond Ramhan Island, Eagle Hills have also recently announced the development of Alabbar, a $2.5 billion super yacht marina set to be located at the Albanian coastline. When it comes to the UAE, even more megaprojects are set to arrive to the Emirates that go beyond real estate and include projects like Etihad Rail, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, and SeaWorld Abu Dhabi.
