Egypt’s Ministry of Education Denies Turning Saturday into an Official School Day
Parents have been excessively freaking out over the possibility of not having a two-day weekend. Fake Facebook page ‘Minister of Education’ posted a status about turning Saturday into a school day. All hell broke loose, and parents were definitely divided.
Some panicked over the end of their two-day vacation, from lunch box preparations and chasing time to reach soccer and swim practices. Others cheered the Ministry for taking their kids and giving them a long break.
Ministry of Education spokesman, Ahmed Khairy, soon came to the rescue and denied all rumors about Saturday’s status, adding that Dr. Tarek Shawky doesn’t have any Facebook accounts other than his personal one.
