Arabs Got Talent Contestant Stuns Judges With Sensational Performance and Perseverance
There’s an Egyptian proverb that translates into what would mean that if it happens for the third time,
22-year-old Yasser, had a dream to become a singer, and despite lacking talent and being rejected time and time again, the young man showed us the true essence of perseverance. Just like any other contestant, the Egyptian young man joined the reputable Arabs Got Talent twice; in both the 3rd and 4th seasons. Yasser’s obvious lack of talent, which what the TV program revolves around, resulted in harsh feedback from the judges. Egyptian Comedian and a member of the judges’ panel, Ahmed Helmi, even told Yasser not to come back again!
As tough as this might sound, negative reinforcement actually pushed Yasser into dig deeper and bring more to the table. Rather than letting it kill his dream, he took it as a challenge instead. With lots of hard work and perseverance, and after training and singing classes, he came back to the 6th season stronger than ever!
With a new look, and obviously new vocal cords, Ahmed Yasser took the stage, stole the audience’s hearts away, and most importantly, stunned the judges!
The current Judges, Ali Jaber, Najwa Karam, and Ahmed Helmi, didn’t even recognize Yasser. As much as they were surprised by his beautiful voice and sensational performance as he sang Umm Kalthoum’s “Helm,” his perseverance was what really left them astonished. After Helmi left his seat to diss Yasser, this time, he got up to congratulate him on bringing him to tears.
