Mohamed Salah Blasts the Egyptian Football Association on Social Media
When it comes to Mohamed Salah, there are three constants. He’s the best thing that happened to Egypt since the pharoahs, the football player has magic wands for feet, and he is as modest, patient, and graceful as royals. Yet, it seems that Egypt’s bureaucracy has its hold on all of us and not even, the king Mo Salah, is safe.
Just when we thought Mo Salah moved on from the ongoing drama around the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the Liverpool striker and golden boy blasts the Egyptian Football Association on social media again. Last April, Mohamed Salah was caught in a copyrights battle after his image was emblazoned across the national team’s plane without permission. Rubbing salt into his management team’s wound, the logo of telecom company ‘WE’ was on the plane, right next to Salah who just happens to have a sponsorship deal with rival company ‘Vodafone’.
Salah took to Twitter to express his frustration and wished for classier treatment, yet it seems that his wish is far from coming true. Last night, Egypt’s favorite star took to social media to express his disappointment at the Egyptian Football Association that is expected to have his back. It seems that his approaches have been completely ignored and the player is wondering if they simply don’t have time for a reply.
The status was vague with no reasons mentioned, and it was his manager, Ramy Abbas Issa, who explained it all on Twitter. Issa tweeted that all they want is a guarantee that image copyrights will not be violated again. Fair enough!

We asked for guarantees regarding Mohamed’s wellbeing whilst with the national team, and assurances that the image rights violations wouldn’t happen again. That’s all. They have yet to respond.
