Acting GOATs of the Second Half of Ramadan 2025
Ramadan dramas always bring out the best (and worst) in characters, but this year, some actors went above and beyond, delivering performances so good they had us forgetting they were acting. Let’s talk about the stars who owned the second half of Ramadan 2025.
Mohamed Shahin – Lam Shamsiya
Playing Wessam in Lam Shamsiya, Shahin gave us one of the most unsettling performances of the season. A pedophile, an abuser, and a man who hides behind a mask of innocence—he played it all naturally. People are still joking about how he embodied his character a little too well.
Hassan Malek – Montahy ElSalaheya
This season’s breakout star, Hassan Malek, gave us the sweet-but-troubled-guy vibes effortlessly in Montahy ElSalaheya. He’s definitely following in his big brother’s footsteps, and if this performance is anything to go by, he’s got a bright future ahead.
Riham Abdel Ghafour – Zolm El Mastaba
As the wife enduring abuse in Zolm El Mastaba, Riham made us feel every bit of emotion and every dilemma with no over-the-top dramatics. Every expression told a story, making her performance one of the most genuine and heartbreaking of the season.
Ali Beialy – Lam Shamsiya
Youssef in Lam Shamsiya was a tricky role, but Ali Beialy made it look effortless. He had us crying, laughing, and fearing for him all at once. His bravery in handling such a complex role at such a young age proves he’s a natural talent. No doubt about that.
Ahmed Mekki – Al Ghawy
Ahmed Mekki ditched El Kabeer’s galabya and turned it into Al Ghawy. The mix of action and humor felt fresh, and his ability to embody his character so seamlessly made it feel like we were watching his real personality.
Amina Khalil – Lam Shamsiya
As Nelly in Lam Shamsiya, Amina Khalil gave us a range of emotions we weren’t ready for. From being the stepmom who treats her kid as her own to confronting her past trauma, she delivered every scream, sob, and silent moment with pure intensity. She made us feel it all.
Mohamed Farrag – Montahy El Salaheya
It’s no surprise Mohamed Farrag made this list. In Montahy El Salaheya, he did what he always does—he took on a complex role and absolutely owned it. He never misses, and this season was no exception.
Ahmed Ghozzi – Qahwet Al Mahatta
Playing the ambitious but struggling young man in Qahwet Al Mahatta, Ahmed Ghozzi nailed the Upper Egyptian dialect and had us fully invested in his story and his raw emotions. His performance made his tragic fate hit even harder.
Fathy Abdel Wahab – Zolm El Mastaba
As Hamada in Zolm El Mastaba, Fathy Abdel Wahab gave us one of the scariest villains this year. Just when we thought he was dead, he came back, and we’re fearing the worst. His performance? An evilness that is absolutely top-tier.
Yosra El Lozy – Lam Shamsiya
Playing Rabab in Lam Shamsiya, a depressed and suicidal mother who knows too much but is forced to remain silent to protect her daughter, Yosra El Lozy delivered a masterclass in acting without words. Her eyes, her tone, her posture—everything told the story, making her performance unforgettable.
These actors didn’t just play roles—they became them. And honestly? We’re still recovering from the emotional rollercoaster they put us through.
