Will Ahmed Ezz’s “Abu Omar Al Masry” Also Get Cancelled?

Seems like the Arab world’s tolerance is reaching zero. Why you ask because they are actually dedicating time trying to take off a fictional drama TV show!

The Sudanese foreign ministry officially summoned the Egyptian ambassador in Khartoum yesterday so that they’d issue a complaint against Ahmed Ezz’s Ramadan series “Abu Omar Al Masry” that’s being broadcasted on various TV channels.

Then Later, an official spokesman from the Sudanese Foreign Ministry came out and stated that they are calling for a ban on the show because it gives a negative impression on Sudan as a country that “hosts terrorists”.

In response to the accusations, the series producers and cast came out and stated in a press release that the series is obviously based on a fictional scenario that does not describe current Sudan what so ever!

In addition, and according to Egypt Today, the Sudanese embassy in Cairo has rejected the series in an official statement issued Wednesday, accusing it of picturing Sudan as a state where Egyptian terrorist fugitives reside.

WE SAID THIS: We really need your opinion on this … Should the series be pulled off the air?
