Music Men Gawdat Launch New Label ‘Dancin’ Set to Turn Up The Middle East
The Gawdat brothers, Aly and Abdel Rahman, known as the iconic Cairene DJ duo, are proudly launching their latest new label ‘Dancin”.
Tech-house is going to meet funk in this new label that’s all about joy, as it’s a rhythmic celebration that will make you want to groove. Even the label’s logo exudes a warm and groovy feel with its colors of sunlit pastel.
In an exclusive interview with Scoop Empire, Aly Gawdat described his new creation saying “‘Dancin” came to life to support and incubate all feel-good, groovy electronic music subgenres, from house and disco to tech house, deep tech, and minimal.”
While Omar Gawdat commented: “There are so many talented producers and DJs in Egypt and the region scattered all over. DANCIN’s aim is to be the safe hub for all regional musicians providing them with a full the infrastructure and tools needed to maximize their potential and exposure”
The special label will act as a bridge between the East and West, as the duo is collaborating with US-based distribution giant Empire.
‘Dancin” will be in the limelight on the global stage, which is nothing new for the brothers. They already have a global fan base with performances in intimate Cairo venues as well as iconic Ibiza nightspots.
Abdel Rahman Gawdat told us “We’re creating a healthier and faster portal between the Middle East and the West by giving local and regional talents the maximum exposure on an international scale.”
Beyond the label, their 14 years of experience have helped them shape Egypt’s electronic music landscape. With their career launching all the way back in 2013, the brothers ascended quickly to the top through their electrifying live performances and unique mixes.
