The UAE Can Now Identify COVID-19 Patients Within Seconds Using This Laser Technology
Thanks to the helping hand of the International Holdings Company’s medical research QuantLase Imaging Lab, the UAE can now test coronavirus patients within seconds by using the rapid laser testing technology.
This will allow the UAE authorities to test people at a wider scale. Because before the laser testing, coronavirus patients used to be identified by using the swab and blood tests which usually take hours to process. But now the new technology can be used for mass screening with results available in seconds.
The breakthrough technology is expected to be available in a few months, says QuantLase Imaging Lab.
Abdulrahman Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention told reports, “We are always following innovations related to the early and rapid detection of COVID-19…The government is keen on supporting initiatives that help the healthcare system in the UAE.”
