Nike Challenge Episode 4: No Rest For The Wicked

In this week’s episode of Nike Women’s Margot vs Lily, Margot gets an internet troll and realizes all the horrible stuff Lily has to put up with as a vlogger and Lily loses Vivian as a friend. Will they be able to get back on their feet again and be #BetterForIt, or will they fail?

Meanwhile, the Scoop Team challenge is chugging along and we’re slowly making our way closer to our goals. As any one of us can tell you, making lifestyle changes is not easy. We get so used to our comfort zones of sporadic schedules and unhealthy choices that sometimes, it’s just easier to stick with what we know. But we’re not here to take the easy road. And at least we’re trying.

So this weekend, I did a proper tour of Cairo! I went to El Hussein, Khan El Khalili and Old Cairo, where I was able to hit up seven Egyptian landmarks. A lot of religious sites, found God in Cairo.

ITBS (Iliotibial Band Syndrome): a term I heard for the first time in my life a couple of weeks ago. It’s one of the most common injuries among runners where your knee hurts like hell. I was “blessed” to experience it at day five and I reached a point that I couldn’t walk and was literally limping. I tried to rest for a few days, but it only got worse, so I went back to the gym, pushed through it, ran at slower paces and added more incline, plus did some time on the elliptical. Two weeks later, I’m back running at my regular pace and my knees are as good as new.

I hate to sound like a pretentiously deep Tumblr person, but this pretty much feels like a life metaphor. When you try to accomplish a goal in your life, you’ll face many hurdles. But it’s up to you to choose whether to quit or to keep pushing until you get there!
