Paralympics 2021: Meet Egypt’s Champion Squad
The Paralympics kick off on the 24th of August in Tokyo, and all eyes should be peeled on the inspiring event. Para-athletes from all over the world compete in an array of competitions tailored for physical or visual impairments and learning disabilities. This event continues to prove that disability isn’t a limitation of individuals, but rather of society’s misguided and ignorant outlook. This year, Egypt’s Paralympic Committee has been adamant on celebrating the most promising and young athletes. In continuation of such an effort, here are some of the inspiring champions participating in the Paralympics.
This time around, Egypt’s Paralympic mission to Tokyo will be participating in multiple events: weightlifting, swimming, table tennis, volleyball, Taekwondo, wheelchair fencing, badminton, athletics, and for the first time, Goalball!
Meet some of this year’s champions!
