Zahi Hawass Publishes Debut Fictional Novel All About King Khufu

Bringing something new to the table, famed Egyptian archaeologist and Egypt’s very own real-life Indiana Jones, Dr. Zahi Hawass decided to enter into the world of fiction publishing his debut fantasy novel titled ‘King Khufu and the Secret Room’. He co-authored the novel with Veronique Vernel and it later got published by Orient Editions in Paris.

Its plot is quite interesting as it explores the story of a young King Khufu and his adventures within a chamber full of secrets and mysteries. After it got published, the novel created quite the stir as it grabbed the attention of many Hollywood filmmakers who wanted to turn the book into a full-fledged movie.

Beyond its initial launch abroad, Hawass will be bringing his novel to Egypt as he plans to have it published in Arabic by Cairo’s Nahddat Misr Publishing.
