Lebanon Shot Twice: Then And Now

Lebanon Shot Twice is a photo series showing heartbreaking photos during the war and now. It shows how even though a huge part of us dies with the war, life just keeps on going. The photo series was made into a photography book and exhibition by Zaveb Kouyoumdjian and Hayat Karanouh.

The photos were taken from an album by Hummus For Thought and more stories can be found on the Bint Jbeil Website. The book is available online and contains 100 stories and 240 photos

Story: “As for Areej, two days before her wedding, the shopowner where she had rented her wedding gown from asked her if she would pose for a German magazine, preparing an article on the Lebanese daily life during the war. The bride and groom had no idea then that this photo would become a symbol of the Lebanese love for life against all war tragedies”. Lebanon Shot Twice, 3rd edition.
