The Saudi Heritage Commission will host the International Restoration Week exhibition from October 1 to 5 in Diriyah’s JAX District, bringing together leading local and international institutions in the field of urban heritage conservation. The event will showcase the latest restoration practices and technologies, fostering cooperation and knowledge exchange among experts from around the world.
As part of the Commission’s broader efforts to safeguard Saudi Arabia’s cultural legacy, the exhibition underscores the importance of preserving the Kingdom’s more than 34,000 recorded heritage assets. It also aims to raise awareness of restoration as a holistic process that not only protects historic sites and cultural identity but also ensures their sustainable integration into modern life.

Participants from at least 12 countries are expected to attend, making the exhibition a global platform for dialogue and collaboration in heritage preservation. By organizing International Restoration Week, the Heritage Commission reaffirms Saudi Arabia’s commitment to advancing restoration standards in line with international best practices and strengthening its role in global cultural heritage stewardship.
