. The artwork for new Prince new track Breakfast Can Wait features Dave Chappelle dressed in the artist’s famous velvet blazer and donning a curly wig. Prince recently unexpectedly embraced social media despite previously expressing his distaste towards all things internet and shared the cover art through the twitter account of his current group 3rd Eye Girl.

. The Weeknd has released a remix of Royals by up-and-coming New Zealand artist Lorde, adding synth, strings and his own vocals. Lorde had recently listed The Weeknd as one of her most inspirational musicians.

. Lady Gaga has revealed the title of her next single off ARTPOP; the track will be called Donatella and is described as a ‘love letter’ to Donatella Versace. The video for first single off the album, titled Applause, was also released this week:

. Britney Spears’ website currently displays a countdown to All Eyes On Me, which may refer to the title of a new single or an album. The countdown ends on September 17th.

. This October, Green Day are releasing a documentary titled Broadway Idiot, which traces the development of their 2004 album American Idiot into a Broadway musical.

. The Calling vocalist Alex Band was robbed and beaten up while in Michigan for the Lapeer Music Festival last week. No arrests have been made so far.

. The MTV Video Music Awards airs tonight, and rumor has it ‘N Sync will reunite for what would be their first performance together in 10 years. Justin Timberlake is among the artists set to perform during the ceremony, and will also be receiving the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award.
