Palestinian supermodel Bella Hadid is making a difference far beyond the fashion world after helping fund a new clean water well in Uganda through Amy Bell Charities, bringing safe drinking water to children and families in a rural community.

The charity recently unveiled “Bella’s Well,” its 999th clean water well in Uganda. The project now provides a reliable source of safe drinking water for the local community, helping make daily life healthier and easier for the families who depend on it.
The well has also been given a special name: “Unapendwa,” which means “You Are Loved.” More than just a name, it symbolizes love, hope and the promise of a brighter future for the children and families it serves.

Access to clean water remains one of Uganda’s biggest challenges. Nearly 40 million people, around 80% of the country’s population, still lack access to safe drinking water, making projects like this a life-changing investment for rural communities.
Without clean water nearby, many families, especially women and children, spend hours each day walking long distances to collect water that may not even be safe to drink.

Amy Bell Charities partners with communities across Uganda to construct sustainable boreholes that provide long-term access to clean water.
But the charity’s work doesn’t stop there. It also delivers hygiene, education, and sanitation programs that help reduce waterborne diseases and improve overall health. By bringing clean water closer to home, children can spend less time collecting water and more time in school, while families enjoy healthier and more secure daily lives.

Bella Hadid’s contribution is a reminder that sometimes one project can have a lasting ripple effect. For the families of the community, this new well isn’t just a source of clean water; it’s a step towards a healthier, brighter future.
