Experience the Magic of Mawazine: Morocco’s Premier Music Festival
The 2024 Mawazine Festival in Rabat is getting ready to wow people with a lineup full of big names like Nicki Minaj, Calvin Harris, and Mohamed Ramadan. This is the 19th time they’re doing this festival, and it’s happening from June 21 to 29.
When Maroc Cultures announced the dates, fans started suggesting who else should perform. The lineup is slowly being revealed, making music fans all over the world super excited.
Since 2001, Mawazine-Rythmes du Monde has been a big deal for music fans in Morocco. It’s even considered one of the top cultural events globally, with the support of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Happening over nine days each year, Mawazine brings together top international and Arab musicians, turning Rabat and Salé into places where fans can meet their favorite artists.
In 2018, Mawazine drew in nearly three million people, making it one of the world’s largest music festivals.
Almost 90% of the festival’s shows are open to everyone, attracting many music fans from all over the country and helping tourism.
The festival has gone more global lately, bringing in big names like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and The Weekend. Past festivals also had Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, DJ Khaled, and David Guetta.
