What Not To Do While Shoplifting
I recently read a news article about this woman in Saudi Arabia who was shoplifting from a clothing store while accompanying her three-year-old child.
After fleeing the scene, the woman realized that she had forgotten her daughter inside and had to shamefully go back and get her. However, prior to being handed over to the police, the shopkeeper decided to lock her inside and give her a massive beating.
Now I know shoplifting is wrong and the lady shouldn’t have stolen, but was the violence really necessary?
Anyway, I put together a list of what NOT TO DO while shoplifting:
- DON’T take a child with you: Not only will you be teaching the child a misdeed, but you’ll also be a major moron for doing so.
- DON’T return back to the store: Better yet, don’t shoplift from a store you regularly visit. Quite obvious, don’t you think?
- DON’T go overboard: Have some decency and pay for some of the items. Preferably all of them.
- DON’T do it in front of other shoppers: Common sense, people! If you’re going to do something wrong then have the brains to do it right.
- DON’T be so obvious about it: Don’t go overboard with what you’re wearing. I mean seriously, everyone will eye you for wearing a heavy jacket and hoodie in scorching heat.
Last but not least:
- DON’T shoplift to begin with: For obvious reasons, shoplifting is wrong and immoral so instead of being a jackass and so cavalier about it, change your ways and be a decent human being.
