Ministry of Social Solidarity Honors Three Ramadan Series for Tackling Dangers of Smoking and Drugs

An honoring conference was held on Sunday where Minister of Social Solidarity, Nevin Al-Kabbaj honored “Kheyanet ‘Ahd” “El Berens” and “Lama Kona Soghyareen” series that were aired this 2020 Ramadan Season, for their contribution in tackling the danger of drug and smoking abuse.
Honorees included Actress Yousra, Director Mohamed Samy, Author Ayman Salama, and CEO Hossam Saleh, who were all following the precautionary measures, maintaining social distance and wearing face masks and gloves whilst receiving the prizes given by the Ministry of Social Solidarity.
Throughout the honoring ceremony, Minister Al-Kabbaj gave a small presentation giving credit to the drama series that are keen to use their artworks for more purpose reinforcing morals, stating that the beauty in these three tv series lied in the fact that they embraced the danger and repercussion of drug consumption message without including detailed scenes that might arouse curiosity among youth to try it out.
Youssra commented that she’s happy with the success of her TV tale “Kheyanet ‘Ahd” and the powerful impact on young viewers regarding the drug issue, hoping this will decrease the number of drug addicts, having a real impact and genuine contribution in solving social problems.
