Shout out to all the Turkish drama fans! If you haven’t started watching Kara Para Ask, then you are definitely MISSING OUT!

It is the biggest series in Turkey these days, the most highly watched and most talked about on social media. With an outstanding cast, starring Engin Akyurek, known for his role as Kerim in Fatmagul, and Tuba Büyüküstün, famous for her character in Asi, as well as some of Turkey’s biggest actors.

AND they are gorgeous – I mean, GORGEOUS! Apart from that, Engin and Tuba are strong actors who carry out raw, believable performances and credible reactions – the key elements in the show’s success, with two seasons so far and critics predicting that it might expand to over four seasons.

Some say that Turkish series are boring and slow-paced, yet this one is far from that and is by far one of the best Turkish and most popular TV series to date.

Kara Para Ask is all over the news headlines in Turkey and has established a monstrous fan base on Facebook and Twitter.

With an exquisite soundtrack and a wisely chosen wardrobe, the music and fashion also play important roles in the series. Tuba’s outfits, accessories and makeup are simply perfect for her female leading role as Elif, a rich girl from a very wealthy family and a jewelry designer, yet still very down to earth and humble.

Meanwhile, Engin plays the leading male role as Omer, an honest police officer who is investigating his fiancée’s murder, which happens to collide with the killing of Elif’s father. This forms the base from which Omer and Elif get to know each other and start looking for answers.

The story is realistic and engaging, highlighting some of the most outrageous crimes in Turkey, from money laundry to organ theft. It also brings to light the corruption issues in Turkish internal affairs and police, which makes the show even more exhilarating.

The series just started airing on OSN, but if you want to catch up and get ahead of the game, then check it out on YouTube where the full first season with English subtitles is available as well as all the episodes from season two, which are released in parallel with Turkish airing times. Trust me, you won’t regret it. This is the show to watch.
