An Egypt court ordered the release of activist Ahmed Douma without bail pending investigations on charges of having incited an assault on the Muslim Brotherhood’s Cairo headquarters in March.

Ahmed Douma was sentenced to a 6 months in prison for insulting Morsi. Douma, along with 12 other activists, were accused of inciting violence when anti-goverment protesters attempted to storm the headquarters of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood.

Douma, was convicted on a number of charges, one of them was insulting Morsi on a live television program, calling him a killer and a criminal.

On 16 March, Douma was beaten along with other activists by Brotherhood supporters while painting anti-Brotherhood graffiti outside the group’s headquarters in Moqattam.

And of course, as we all know there was no legal complaint against the Brotherhood due to his lack of trust in the justice system. Douma decided to fight the group politically instead.
