Comedy Set: The First Egyptian All Female Inclusive Stand-Up Show!
Comedy is a form of entertainment that may brighten our day and change our mood considerably. It is one of the few things capable of transforming one’s mental state. Men, on the other hand, have dominated Egypt’s stand-up comedy scene. This needed to change since female stand-up comedians can be just as good as male stand-up comedians. Female stand-up comedians are highly funny and skilled, and media exposure and more events are two key aspects in spreading the word about them.
In light of this, the renowned Comedy Set, a group of comediennes dedicated to increasing stage visibility for both female and male performers, has produced a one-of-a-kind show that will take place on Wednesday, March 23 at the Room in New Cairo. This is the first female-produced, hosted, and performed stand-up comedy show. In addition, Sarrah Abdelrahman, a young outstanding actress, will host the event, and we can’t wait to see the incredible roster of female comedians who will deliver some unforgettable jokes.
Bernadette, Kato, Salma, Reem, Rahma, and Ghada will all be on the bill, ready to light up the stage and give the audience the time of their lives. The group has announced that they will perform again on March 28 at Tap West in Zayed, as the anticipation continues to build and tickets for their first event have already sold out. This is fantastic news because it increases the visibility of a group of female stand-up comedians so that the public may see how amazing they are!
This is an excellent method to dispel the stereotype and inspire more women to participate in stand-up comedy. Gender preferences do not exist in this industry, and they should not exist in any other sector, because women are capable of more than simply excellence.
