Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture announced that the virus was discovered in Riyadh, and explained to the public that it does not get transmitted to humans

This virus differs to the one that has been discovered in Vietnam, H5N6, as the latter is highly contagious, and can be easily transmitted among humans.

The outbreak killed 22,700 birds, and the other 385,300 birds in the flock were slaughtered, the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) said.

In other news, while the rest of the world struggles to control it, Saudi has remained free of the coronavirus!
