Bahrain to Follow the UAE’S Footsteps in Opening the Second Hindu Temple in the Middle East

Diversity is one of the cornerstones of any society’s progress, and it is critical for the Arab world to begin accepting it. Diversity is not just a term; it is a principle-based on which countries are founded in order to celebrate our diversity and individuality. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has made significant progress toward its goal of being a hub for people of many nationalities and a safe sanctuary for people seeking opportunities in numerous fields. Furthermore, because we all choose to follow different religions and faiths, the UAE has a large population of people who follow religions other than Islam. To cater to the different populations, Emirates has opened the first Hindu temple in the Middle East located in Abu Dhabi.

For this reason, Bahrain is following in the UAE’s footsteps and will open a traditional Hindu temple, which will be the second of its kind in the Middle East.

After conversing with His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and Prime Minister, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi confirmed the news. He expressed his delight during a friendly conversation with HRH Prince Al Khalifa, thanking him for the Kingdom’s attention to the Indian community’s concerns, especially the recent land allotment decision for the Swaminarayan temple.

As we all have the freedom to follow other faiths, this is a positive move for the Middle Eastern region to become more linked with diverse religions. Let us band together and support Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates in their efforts to promote religious freedom and diversity.
