Hend Sabry is returning to our screens with a new series based on Ibrahim Issa’s novel Dam Ala Nahd, where she shares the screen with Asser Yassin. So, while we wait to see what she has in store for us this time, here’s a look back at some of our favorite drama characters played by Hend Sabry over the years.

Ola Abdelsabour

Ayza Atgawz (2010) & Finding Ola (2022)

In 2010, Hend Sabry first introduced us to Ola Abdelsabour, a pharmacist determined to find a husband and settle into the life she always imagined for herself.

More than a decade later, Finding Ola picked up her story after her divorce, giving us a closer look at her journey of rediscovering herself while navigating motherhood, relationships, and a whole new chapter of life.

Amira

Embratoreyet Meen (2014)

As Amira, Hend Sabry plays the mother of an Egyptian family living abroad who decides to return to Egypt after a wave of nostalgia. While the children are less than thrilled about the move, the family soon finds themselves caught up in a series of unexpected and hilarious situations from the moment they arrive.

Amina

Halawet El Donia (2017)

Through Amina, Hend brought a deeply emotional and relatable character to life. Amina’s life takes an unexpected turn when she discovers she has cancer just days before her wedding.

Suddenly, everything she had planned is put on hold, forcing her to rethink her priorities and relationships, especially her complicated relationship with her sister.

Dina

Hagma Mortadda (2021)

As Dina, Hend Sabry takes on a very different kind of role. She and Saif, played by Ahmed Ezz, become involved in a series of secret operations that uncover shocking information and reveal attempts to threaten peace and stability across the Arab world. The role gave Hend a chance to step into the world of action, suspense, and espionage.

Amira

Moftaraq Toroq (2024)

Amira finds herself forced to start over when her conservative husband, Omar, is arrested in cases involving dishonor. With her family suddenly depending on her, she returns to her career as a lawyer, with help from her old friend and fellow lawyer, Yahya. It’s a story of resilience, independence, and finding the strength to rebuild your life when everything changes.

Gharam

Mana’a (2026)

In Mana’a, Hend steps into one of her most intense roles yet as Gharam, a single mother who turns to the drug trade after her husband, a drug dealer, is killed. What begins as a desperate attempt to survive quickly turns into a dangerous rise to power, eventually making her the leader of a powerful criminal network. But as the authorities close in, Gharam’s empire begins to fall apart, forcing her to face the consequences of her choices.

To say Hend Sabry knows how to bring a character to life would be an understatement. From relatable everyday struggles to intense, high-stakes stories, she’s given us plenty of characters we couldn’t help but root for, question, and remember. Now, with a series based on Dam Ala Nahd on the way, we can’t wait to see who she brings to life next.
