Bollywood’s Icon, Shah Rukh Khan Gets a Star in Dubai’s Walk of Fame
It’s official! Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan has been announced as the second celebrity to be on Dubai’s Walk of Fame. Set to host 10,000 stars, Khan was picked after Lebanese couture designer, Elie Saab. Due to the high volume of nominations, Khan will make a special appearance at Sheikh Mohammed boulevard this October.
Khan refers to Dubai as his second home and according to Arabian Business, stated, “I have been travelling regularly to this wonderful city for years and each time I visit, I’m just amazed by so much that’s new, exciting and the best-of-its-kind in the world. But beyond the fresh and exciting things to explore, what I find truly memorable is the soul of the city – its people and hospitality – that make every visit even more remarkable”.
The stars are earned by big names who have influenced and shaped our worlds through many avenues such as entertainment, social media, music, film, art, sport, literature, and many more.
By October, the walk will be home to 400 names who will attend the launch. Since bigger is better in Dubai, by completion it’s to hold four times the capacity of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The sidewalk is believed to become one of the cities hottest attractions when completed.
