Ramadan Style Awards

Ramadan is over? So probably you’ve been watching all the TV you can and you know the series by name and by character. Unlike Egyptian
series, Prime time TV in the US are well thought in many aspect, style inspiration is one of the priorities. Egyptian series have came a long
way since Sherihan and Nelly outfits. These are the best and the worst of this Ramadan’s style in series.

Outfits: The best and worst outfits. Who dazzled us with amazing outfits and who shocked us with ugly garments.

Best outfits

Cyrine abdelnoor

Cyrine’s outfits are truly chic. She’s a real inspiration for a lady like closet seekers. Remarkable looks, the one sleeved black evening gown she wore when interviewed by Nishan, her black pencil skirt with the bib sleeveless shirt she wore in her first episode in Egypt and the sexy yet simple blue gown she wore at the engagement party episode.

Worst outfits

The entire cast of Mazaj El 5air

Even if they’re playing low standard and “vulgar” sexy, this amount of horrific, inappropriate and flashy outfits are a turn off. And what’s with all that glitter?

Overall look: not only outfits, but hair, makeup and outfits.

Best Overall look

Mona Zaki

Amazing comeback for Mona Zaki as a fashionista. Sexy, edgy and chic from head to toe. Between modern outfits with an Egyptian touch, amazing hair and good makeup technique. Remarkable looks, high neck white short dress with the curly donut bun, black sequence loose top with loose waves and turquoise evening gown with long wig with bangs.

Worst overall look:

Sumaya Khashab

Never seen hair as flat and probably as greasy as I’ve seen with her. She needs to either lose weight or get 3-4 bigger size. And that’s not how a red lipstick is used!

Hair:

Best hair

Raghda

Goddess hair. Timeless, Raghda’s hair is always thick, healthy and sexy. The brownish copper color was a terrific choice.

Worst hair

Yosra

That’s not how an ombre style is down. Maybe if you’re a 13 year old hipster and probably can’t afford a salon coloring. An ombre style is all about blending, Yosra had a jet black hair turned into a weird blond.

Style surprise: unexpected style inspiration or just a huge disappointment based on false expectations.

Best style surprise

Mais 7emdan

Finally, Mais showed off her amazing fit body through a series of curve hugging outfits. Remarkable looks, fushia short dress with lace detail and burgundy high waisted pants with silk light blouse.

Worst style surprise

The entire cast of 7ekayt 7yah

Honestly after last year, I had hopes that Ghada’s series is going to be stylish. Little that I knew! Nahla Salama and Noha El Amroosy … Just No! Ghada Abdelrazek had a few hits, but mostly misses with an oversized fur vest that made her look like a sheep, mixed animal prints in one outfit and finally weird colorful tops.

Traditional style: The sa3eedi and fala7i series is just a yearly remark for Ramadan. It’s rare that we get any inspiration through that!

Best traditional style

Donia Sameer Ghanem

Her curly long hair and effortless no makeup look is very traditional in a fresh way. Egyptian outfits have never looked more hip. Remarkable looks, her bedwin look alike kaftan in her mazarita got talent performance and her fushia outfit in the episode where got kidnapped.

Worst traditional style

Ola Ghanem

It just doesn’t make sense to have a full tan, smoky eyes and straightened hair in the middle of the Egyptian country side and supposedly in the 30’s!
