Georges Hobeika Shines With Family Duos Rocking His Paris Spring/Summer 23 Collection
Lebanese fashion designer, Georges Hobeika has made quite the statement with his latest Paris Spring/Summer 23 Collection. Paying homage to the father-son duo of the Hobeika business, the creative showcased his newest line with the help of familial Arab pairs focusing on a fairytale aesthetic. Seen through the manipulation of geometric shapes and the use of warm colors and pastels.
Strutting the catwalk for the first time were the Emirati TikTok sensation twins Habdan dressed in oversized, sleek matching black suits. The twins took to Instagram to document the special moment by thanking the designer and teasing fans with a behind-the-scenes video capturing special moments.
The show also included mother-daughter pair, Rita and Jessica Kahawaty. Matching in shades of blue, the duo looked royal as they sported Hobeika couture gowns. Jessica stunned in a strapless satin blue dress with a detailed gold and blue cape and Rita turned heads in a see-through, shimmery blue and silver mermaid-esque gown. The daughter, Jessica took to social media to capture the experience, mentioning how she’s grateful to walk the runway with her mother.
Aside from the dynamic duos, the show also featured the likes of TV journalist, Dalia Makki who shined in a fitted retro silver dress. There was also renowned model, Ameni Esseibi rocking the runway in a silver, lacy, figure-hugging gown with intricate detailing around the arms.
This was one runway to remember not just for its contemporary looks but for the figures presenting them.
