The Egyptian branch of Education For Employment Network (EFE) Middle East and North Africa (MENA) hosted the annual Networking and Learning Meeting last week. The conference saw EFE’s regional representatives celebrate the accomplishments of the network and work together for improving their efforts for a brighter future in MENA.

EFE’s goal aims to improve a serious employment crisis around the region. By providing educational workshops to the country’s struggling and underserved youth, by bridging the gap between “who you know” and “what you know”, EFE is enabling Arab youth to find stability in the workplace. Since its launch in 2006, EFE has graduated 10,000 participants around the region with an equal balance of men and women in the program. EFE’s Egypt sector has successfully connected 1,300 Egyptian youth with work in over 65 companies.

EFE’s Job Placement Training Programs helps cover all aspects of what their students need to know about the work force. Ranging from four to eight weeks, the program covers labor law, English pronunciation, business skills and so much more. EFE also works with unemployed youth, including university students and graduates, through five-day workshop to help them get the job, from helping them write their best resume to interview prep.

EFE has been and will continue to assist Arab youth to find opportunity, sustainability and fulfillment for a better and brighter future for the Arab world. It’s organizations like these that give us hope in the region.

WE SAID THIS: Check out EFE on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to keep up to date on their inspiring work.
