The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM)’s food and beverage scene just got a bit grander as Beano’s Cafe has launched this month. Marrying contemporary grandeur and authenticity, here’s everything you need about this latest addition.
Upon entering, you’re met with a huge Banyan tree with gold intricate details, providing a tranquil respite for the visitors of the museum.
The Beano’s Cafe branch strikes the ultimate balance between ancient Egyptian heritage and contemporary architecture. As you sip your coffee and munch on flaky croissants, you are in the presence of history at every corner such as the towering view of Ramses The Second.
The flagship venue at GEM is designed by Internationally acclaimed Shewekar El Gharably. This iconic project won the “Restaurant and Bars Design Awards” for 2023 in the Ceiling Category; known as the most prestigious design competition for F&B spaces. The branch design began its design phase back in the summer of 2022 and eventually launched and began operating last December. Unveiling its visitors an experience that is rich with brass detail, highlighting the ceiling structure as it hovers, showcasing a banyan tree effect.
