Mona Zaki is taking the lead in a new series. Tale’ Nazel is an upcoming 10-episode Egyptian drama set to premiere soon as a Shahid Original. The series marks the highly anticipated return of the superstar to television drama after a three-year hiatus, while also reuniting her with acclaimed director Hany Khalifa.

Tahia in Afrah El Qobba (2016)
Based on legendary Egyptian novelist Naguib Mahfouz’s novel, Afrah El Qobba follows a theater group in the 1970s as its members deal with secrets, relationships, and personal struggles. Zaki plays Tahia, one of the group’s central characters, bringing a layered and complex performance to the role.
Asia in Asia (2013)
In Asia, Zaki plays a fine arts painter who loses her memory following an accident. As she tries to piece together her identity and past, she starts a completely new life working as a dancer in a nightclub, taking her character down an unexpected path.
Soad Hosny in El Cinderella (2006)
One of Zaki’s first television transformations came with El Cinderella, where she portrayed legendary Egyptian actress Soad Hosny. The 30-episode drama chronicles the life and career of the iconic actress, giving Zaki the chance to step into the shoes of one of Egypt’s most beloved stars.
