All-Female Rescue Teams Will Take Over The Beaches of Dubai!

The Municipality of Dubai and Dubai Police held a joint press conference this week; announcing the launch of a beach safety campaign. They’re currently assembling a team that only consists of females to patrol beaches in Dubai.

A press conference was held to launch a campaign between Dubai Municipality and Dubai Police General Command on "Beach Safety" campaign that will last for two months. During the conference, Eng. Director of Environment Department, Eng. Alia Al-Harmoudi reviewed during the conference the efforts and achievements of the coastal rescue and safety system, which is managed by Dubai Municipality, which has managed to achieve zero mortality for two years.

There are 12 women undergoing emergency response training now, and the plan is to increase this number to 18 by the end of 2018! The safety campaign won’t only tackle drowning cases, but also theft and harassment!
