Egyptian Officials Call for the Ousting of Qatar’s Ambassdor Over Al Jazeera Documentary

Members of the Egyptian parliament called for the ousting of the Qatari ambassador in Egypt, as the Twitterverse backlashes. Qatar’s Al Jazeera aired “El3asaker,” (meaning soldiers) a movie that talked about the Egyptian Army policies. As a result, Egyptian Twitter users and public figures deemed the documentary “offensive,” and called for the government’s immediate action in return.

The users used hashtags such as #Kick_The_Qatari_Ambassador_Out and others attacking the Qatari Channel Al Jazeera, which is not the first time to happen. For the past few years government proponents have constantly called for Al Jazeera to “leave Egypt alone.”
