At just 15 years old, the twins were playing for Al Ahly’s youth team in a crucial match when Hossam picked up a yellow card. Moments later, he committed another foul that should have earned him a second booking and an early trip off the pitch.
Before the referee could react, Ibrahim stepped in and convinced him that he was the player who committed the foul. The referee bought it and showed Ibrahim the yellow instead, leaving Hossam free to continue the match.
