Variety Magazine Just Named Hitmaker Wassim Slaiby as Music Manager of the Year
Variety magazine just named the Lebanese-Canadian entrepreneur, music manager, and the current CEO of the XO record label, Wassim Slaiby, known as “SAL” as ‘Manager of the Year’ and we’re very excited for him. Sal is an amazing manager to artists like The Weeknd, Bebe Rexha, Doja Cat, French Montana, Belly, Nav, Massari, and Sabrina Claudio among others, and throughout all of the work that he does, Sal always carries his roots and the love for his homeland with him.
The magazine also published an interview with Sal a couple of days ago where he mentioned: “helming the careers of The Weeknd, Doja Cat, Brandy and more”. He also talked about the Beirut explosion and the actions that he and his wife Rima took to help the Lebanese victims “We couldn’t do anything. We partnered up with Global Citizen and raised $1.2 million in ten days. All the money went to the Red Cross, first responders, and the Children’s Cancer Center that was destroyed by the explosion”
Wassim Slaiby and Rima have dedicated many efforts to support Beirut disaster relief and among them is their campaign that was actually seen as a high profile among the world’s celebrities which encouraged The Weeknd to also contribute around $300,000 to the people of Lebanon.
