The fifth episode of Project Runway: Middle East was probably the designers’ favorite episode yet. As they were reunited with their loved ones and got to design not for any models but for their friends, sisters and moms. Yes, it was one of the most disappointing runways we’ve ever seen in Project Runway history but the show had some really nice emotional moments… and DRAMA!

 

So without further ado, here’s a list of our 15 favorite moments from the fifth episode of Project Runway Middle East.

 

 

1. The reunion

 

 

The designers are surprised with some of their favorite people in the world…Or Alia in Lucy’s case!

 

 

2. The models

 

 

The models this week weren’t just any models, they were some hot mamas…Literally!

 

 

3. Color blind

 

 

Apparently the fabrics store is nothing like NYC’s Mood because they seem to have all the fabrics in one color… Or why else would 5 designers pick the same color?

 

 

4. B*tches be trippin’

 

 

We don’t know what Lucy was on but even though five designers picked the same color, she seemed to have a personal vendetta with Ilham out of them all and also seemed to imagine a previous imaginary conflict with her.

 

 

Ilham also somehow seemed to think they had different colors!

 

 

 

5. Gone but not forgotten!

 

 

Our favorite shady queen, Saba has been gone since the third episode but still somehow always seems to make it on our list every single week!

 

 

6. The D-Word

 

 

 

Madonna? Mariah Carey? Diana Ross? Aretha Franklin? Oh sorry…We thought the designers knew the ACTUAL meaning of a DIVA!

 

 

7. Queen Nabila

 

 

We talked multiple times before about how we’re obsessed with Mohanad’s mom Nabila.

 

 

Like them bickering was EVERYTHING!

 

 

 

And THAT MOMENT!

 

 

 

8. Womanizer

 

 

Maroun might have watched Slumdog Millionaire too many times because he’s our new favorite chai boy!

 

 

9. Category is…Disney

 

 

Looks like the fabrics and colors aren’t the only thing the designers are copying.

 

 

10. Hell hath no fury like a judge scorned

 

 

Sadly as much as we love the show but that runway was an epic fail and we’re absolutely gladl that the judges were just as frustrated as we were.

 

 

11. The joker

 

 

We love how Mohanad never takes anything seriously like the others and is always cracking jokes and laughing on the runway.

 

Even if he’s on the chopping block

 

And how Afef HATES it!

 

 

12. Hey Mama

 

 

Someone needs to explain to Elie that he’s on Project Runway and not The Bachelor.

 

 

And Yousra too?

 

 

 

13. The Alia curse

 

 

We love you Alia but we might just know who we’re going as this Halloween. Because there’s no person on TV right now that’s more cursed than she is. When she came back she made sure that she wouldn’t be leaving alone!

 

 

14. Designers time out

 

 

They tried to give Elie a bad runway and he said No, No, No. Someone had to!

 

 

15. A medal for trying

 

 

Lucy might have lost the war but she won the battle? Or however that goes. Because she got rewarded by getting to attend a one week training at the Elie Saab design studio.
