Step Into the Past: AlUla’s Ancient Kingdoms Festival Is Coming Soon!

Taking over Saudi Arabia’s AlUla, known as the ancient Arabian oasis city, is a major festival that will celebrate its prominent heritage sites.

The special Ancient Kingdoms Festival will take place on November 7 and will offer a unique exploration of AlUla’s rich history.

The Ancient Heritage Sites

At AlUla, visitors can visit several heritage sites, including the Nabataean city of Hegra, Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site; Wadi Al-Naam, a spectacular valley of iconic rock art; and the mudbrick maze of AlUla’s Old Town.

The Series of Events

One of the highly anticipated events is the “Incense Road Experience.” It will take place at AlUla’s Old Town, where visitors will traverse a maze made up of historic mud brick buildings. Live performances, interactive storytelling, and the use of technology will also take place.

Another exciting event is “Masterpieces of the National Archaeological Museum of Naples.” It will be an exhibition of exceptional art history from Pompeii and Herculaneum that will be showcased at Maraya, the world’s largest mirrored building.

There is also the fan-favorite event known as “Hegra After Dark,” a world-leading immersive nighttime summit that offers a magical “theater of life” expedition through the spectacular landscape and Nabataean era.

All these exciting events will take place from November 7 until 30. You can find the complete full program at Experience AlUla‘s website.
