Qatari Luxury Furniture Brand, FROMM & Kahhal 1871 Join Forces For Milan Design Week
As the second edition of Milan Design Week kicks into full gear, luxury furniture brand, FROMM is set to participate for the second time in a row. The lifestyle-oriented brand is based in Qatar and Italy, providing the ultimate fusion for its customers between design and manufacturing.
With the second edition of Design Week, FROMM is making some exciting drops. They are not launching two but three collections; one which includes none other than Kahhal 1871.
In collaboration with Kahhal 1871, The Shurouq Collection brings together Qatari designers, Shua’a Ali and Maryam Al Suwaidi. This unique partnership first joined forces back in 2022 for the inaugural design show. Now they are back at it again for the second round with the inclusion of home accessories. Whether it’s the cushions or carpets, The Shurouq Collections honors Qatar’s vibrant culture.
Paying homage to the Ottoman era, Ottoman Dream brings together various designers of diverse backgrounds to create vibrant work. Sold exclusively in Turkey, the collection which consists of 11 pieces is a love letter to history. From throne armchairs, low coffee tables, carpets, and much more.
Among the three collections, the newest one is titled WANAS. This collection came to fruition in a joint partnership by FROMM and VCUarts Qatar. The Collection’s brief concept was inspired by Middle Eastern coffee culture and the spirit of the gathering. Founder and CEO of FROMM reflected on the unique collaboration by saying, the WANAS Collection is a great example of how FROMM is able to collaborate with budding talent and local design universities to provide transformative design experiences.”
FROMM is taking exciting steps and its participation in Milan Design Week is only the beginning.
