Olympic Update on Fake Nike Scandal
Quick update on what’s been going with the fake Nike scandal that spread like wild fire yesterday online.
After being contacted the head of the Olympic Committee admitted to knowing that the goods were counterfeit and the reasoning behind going with a Chinese distributor, was because the real Nike “WAS JUST TOO EXPENSIVE and after the revolution we can not afford to pay those prices!”
What I don’t get is the audacity this man has in admitting to the world that yes we Egyptians have no problem with buying the Fake product, which is also a pretty big “F U” to Nike international who tried to contact the Egyptian Olympic Committee several times on the matter.
As the day progressed news came about that Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour our minister of Toursim, paid 200,000 l.e. from one of their accounts to rectify the issue, and try and save Egypt’s image.
We Said This: Our question is why let it happen in the 1st place?!
