Dubai Media Office just released some pictures that showcase the urbanization process of Dubai from 1977 till 2017, and they look amazing. The stunning time-lapse by NASA reveals the immense change that took place over the last four decades.

Dubai went from being a mere desert in 1977 to a very modern urbanized city in 2017. The Arab world is full of beautiful destinations, but Dubai is hands down the world’s favorite city in the Arab region. The following pictures will take you on a step by step journey of the evolution of Dubai to the urbanized utopia we know now.
