Today is a good day for every Arab woman, Emiratis to be specific. Fatima Al Qubaisi, a 26-year-old student, just became the first Emirati woman to graduate from Harvard Law School. Al Qubaisi recently graduated with a master’s degree, and she plans on promoting pro-bono legal work in her country.

“It has been a tremendous experience to be part of the school’s graduating class during its 200th year, and I will be returning to the UAE with a vision and a set of ideas for a brighter UAE,” the 26-year-old told Gulf News.

Al Qubaisi got her bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science at the Paris-Sorbonne University in Abu Dhabi, and later spent a year working on her degree in the United states. The graduate currently works as a senior legal associate at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (Adia).

WE SAID THIS: Such an inspiration for every Arab woman out there.
