Kendrick Lamar Has Been Replaced at Abu Dhabi After-Race Concerts, but We’re Not Sad

Tragedy may have struck this morning when news broke that Kendrick Lamar has pulled out of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after-race concerts. However, there’s a silver lining, because *drum roll* J. Cole is set to replace him.
“Due to the circumstances beyond the promoters’ control, Lamar won’t be performing due to personal reasons, and J Cole has been lined up to join DJ Calvin Harris who’s playing on Thursday,” Yas Marina Circuit and Flash Entertainment said on Wednesday.

J. Cole is no stranger to Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Back in 2015, he performed at the Free Beats on the Beach festival by the Corniche. The Grammy-nominated artist has since released his fourth studio album, 4 Your Eyez Only, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
It was also reported that the organizers are offering one-day passes for Friday, November 24, at Dh395. The passes will grant entry to the Abu Dhabi hill, the F1 fan zone and J. Cole’s after-race concert. Oh, and there’s more! It will also give you access to Thursday’s events — including Calvin Harris’ concert.
