Egypt-French Air Forces to Begin Joint Military Exercise: Amun-22
With its formidable sectors, the Egyptian army has been one of the world’s most powerful institutions, fostering a sense of stability in the region. This is mostly due to our strong feeling of patriotism and pride in our army, who we regard as our saviors. However, a country’s army isn’t the only feature that distinguishes it. International relations are extremely important because they dictate how each country will collaborate with one another. Those ties will create close relationships with other countries as they are an important aspect of each country’s international position. For this particular reason, combining the military and diplomatic aspects is extremely crucial as it is important for building strong partnerships and allows two countries to share their experiences.
Egypt has demonstrated its commitment to military cooperation by launching the joint Egyptian-French air force training program Amun-22, which will run for several days at a variety of Egyptian air facilities.
A series of lectures will be held as part of the exercise, with the goal of standardizing combat principles and exchanging training expertise. According to Egyptian Military Spokesman Ghareeb Abdel Hafez Gharib, the training involves theoretical and practical teachings on planning and executing coordinated air combat operations. The goal is to improve both the Egyptian and French air forces’ combat efficiency and preparedness.
The program also included the use of live artillery fire to repel and destroy enemy objectives and tactical observation against naval targets. This combined military training is critical since it is not the first time Egypt and France have partnered on initiatives that encourage the sharing of military knowledge. Egypt’s and France’s air forces performed a combined drill on an Egyptian airbase back in June 2021.
Egypt is making incredible efforts to develop its international ties and form new types of cooperation in order to exhibit a variety of experiences and methodologies that may be applied to the military sector.
