Cristiano Ronaldo’s Hotel Chain is Coming to This Arab City
The Real Madrid Football Star Cristiano Ronaldo and Pestana, Portugal’s’ leading hotel chain, will open their fifth hotel in 2019 according to Pestana Hotel Group Chief Development Officer Jose Roquette.
Ronaldo’s Pestana will be located at M Avenue in the center of Marrakesh, Morocco. Pestana Hotel Group will invest €40 million on the 4 star hotel. It will feature 168 rooms, two restaurants, a business and fitness center, a pool, and a spa.
“We are delighted to be a part of this project. Marrakesh is a successful and increasingly sophisticated destination, the perfect environment for the implementation of Lifestyle and Boutique hotel brands,” said Roquette.
The Pestana CEO told Reuters in December that the joint venture should help open new markets in Asia and the Middle East, where Ronaldo is extremely popular, as well as expand into Spain and the United States.
Two CR7 hotels have been already opened, one in Madeira Islands, Ronaldo’s hometown and the other in Lisbon, and two more hotels will be opened in Madrid and New York City.
