For all you gamers out there across Egypt, All hail Anubis Gaming, The first professional electronic sports team to be recognized by the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports. Twenty-two-year-old Youssef Mohsen, founder and CEO of Anubis Gaming, seized the opportunity to launch the first of a kind company.
The aim of the company is to represent all Egyptian gamers on an international scale, after securing first place, three times in all eSports tournaments across Egypt. We can safely say that Anubis gaming is currently Egypt’s number-one eSports team, when it comes to cs:go and League of Legends. Youssef explains furthermore that the aim of his newly formed company is that each global region is represented by up to three teams every year in multi-million dollar international tournaments, except for the MENA region and Africa as a whole.
“Our objective is to represent the region and that is exactly why I came up with the idea in the first place, and with the help and support of family and friends, this idea turned to reality,” told us.
Youssef was also made a senior member in the Electronic Sports Federation in Egypt, after making a presentation to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Khaled Abdelaziz, showing him how huge of an opportunity we have as a country to develop our youth into becoming eSports world champions.
Youssef proved to the ministry that all of these gamers, who spent countless hours in cyber cafes, can have a bright future, contrary to what (society people family think).
“Together with the federation, we’ve organized the first national eSports tournament this year in August, for CS:GO and LOL, both winning teams will be granted the opportunity to represent Egypt in the IeSL world tournament for the first time competing for $ 100,000 in Jakarta Indonesi,” he said.
