Karim Abdel Aziz is heading back to comedy with his upcoming film Matloub A’ailian, set to hit Egyptian cinemas on October 7. The comedy-thriller, directed by Moataz El-Touny and written by Sherif El-Leithy, stars Abdel Aziz alongside Yasmine Sabri and Mostafa Khater.
In the film, Abdel Aziz plays Farouk, an Interpol agent whose mission takes an unexpected turn as he finds himself juggling a supermarket job, family chaos, and a series of unpredictable situations. He stars alongside Dina El Sherbiny and Maged El Kedwany in a story that explores the ups and downs of married life, asking whether husbands would choose their wives again if given the chance. Nadi El-Regal El-Serri (2019)
As Adham, Abdel Aziz plays a dentist who finds himself at the center of a secret club created by married men trying to cover up their questionable behavior. Fi Mahattat Misr (2006)

Abu Ali (2005)
In Abu Ali, Abdel Aziz plays Hassan, a young man pushed into petty crime as he tries to support his siblings. His life takes an even more chaotic turn when he goes on the run with a woman, played by Mona Zaki. Blending romance, action, and comedy, the film became one of the memorable collaborations between Abdel Aziz and Zaki.
El Basha Telmeez (2004)
Abdel Aziz takes on the role of Basioni, a young police officer who goes undercover as a university student to investigate a drug ring. The setup gives him plenty of room to mix action with youthful comedy, as his attempts to balance his undercover mission with university life create one awkward situation after another.
Haramiya Fi Tailand (2003)
In Haramiya Fi Tailand, Abdel Aziz plays Ibrahim, a man who gets pulled into an ambitious art-heist scheme after discovering a long-lost brother. Joined by his brother and a group of unlikely partners, he heads to Thailand for a plan that quickly becomes much messier than expected. The film paired Abdel Aziz with Maged El Kedwany and became one of the actor’s best-known early comedies.
Haramiya Fi KG2 (2001)
One of Abdel Aziz’s earliest comedy hits, Haramiya Fi KG2 sees him play Hassan, a professional thief whose life changes when he suddenly has to take care of his late partner’s young daughter. From dealing with school runs to trying to keep his criminal life going, Hassan is thrown into situations that turn his carefully planned life upside down. The film was already drawing strong audience attention when it opened in Egypt in 2002.
With Matloub A’ailian bringing Abdel Aziz back to a comedy-thriller setup, the new film gives audiences another chance to see the actor lean into the kind of chaotic, everyday situations that have made many of his comedy characters so memorable.
