UAE Taking Quick Grand AI Leaps: Renewing Arab Interest in Tech

The President of UAE has officially issued a law to establish an Artificial Intelligence Council as part of UAE’s big leaps toward technological advancement. As reported by the WAM agency, the new AI council will be handling research, infrastructure, and investment in the field of AI and advanced technology.

The President also appointed members of the council, the Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, H.H Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as the chairman of the council, and The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi as the Vice Chairman.

This news is the latest crowning achievement of UAE in the technology field, which was preceded by other ones.

Dubai Police Making Use Of Mircopolis Robots

Early this January, Dubai’s company ‘Micropolis Robotics’ announced its ambitious plan to get its hands on a $37 million fund from the New York Stock Exchange.

This is to multiply its production force to produce 350+ AI robots per year in response to huge demand from the government, which has made use of the company’s robot to help in police patrol and surveillance.

This January, the astronomy trademark NASA has partnered up with the Emirates’ Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) to launch the first-ever station orbiting around the moon. This ambitious project is named “Artemis Lunar Gateway Airlock.”
